You’re strolling through a row of books at your local library, when something catches your eye. You walk calmly over to it, even though you’re ecstatic to figure out what it is. You look at the shelf and you discover that it was just Marvel comic books. Interested and curious you pull out one of the books. A big Iron Man book. You open it and skim through some of the boxes. You put it back, not up to the “challenge” of reading a big comic book. You read the other titles from the shelf . Still uninterested you look to the opposite side of you and look at those books. Bored with this aisle you walk away towards the new books. But as you leave, you begin thinking of some superheroes you know and later that day you search them up…. You look up Captain America, you had seen all of his movies except for Civil War, which is about to come out soon. You watch all of the trailers for Marvel movies you haven’t seen. You look up some of the movies on the library computer. They were either out or weren’t there. You walk away in anger and stroll around the library again. You come back to the comic book section and you decided to check out one of the Marvel comic books. Once you started to read it, you couldn’t stop . . .
This blog is about Marvel super heroes and others that are not apart from Marvel. I chose this topic because I want to learn more about the heroes and their villain(s). And by learning this, I could “teach” others who are uneducated on this topic.
Earlier this year, our class discussed about what’s a hero, and we decided that our class definition would be: “A hero is someone who is compelled to follow their moral compass to make a positive difference in the world, big or little.
What I think a hero is: A hero is someone who helps a person/animal, their community, and/or their country without any bribery. The meaning of this, is that the hero/the person who is doing the good deeds are not accepting money to do the right thing, but they are following their moral compass to do those good deeds.
(Explaining more in depth…) Some heroes that you will learn about are Captian America, Ant Man, Spiderman, Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and Power Rangers. I can’t list all the villains right now, but some are Loki, the Globin, and Red Skull. I will introduce creation villains when the right hero is on the “plate”.
There are some websites that you can go on which you will learn about later; also, later on, you will learn about sell items. (Video games, clothes, etc.) Many movies and T.V. shows have been created for the super heroes. You will learn about many different things in the post and all will have a unique style or taste depending on the the hero or villain, and how much information I could find.
Some people may look upon the super-hero stuff, well at least reading the comics, as "nerdie". People may say this because it’s easier to get to the movies, then to read a book. People may also say this because it’s cliche in the movies, which could lead to “judging” for some persons around the world.
I’ll be starting with a non-Marvel superhero which will be the Power Rangers. In most my post there will be trailers or videos about the person or group I’ll be talking about.
